Limited Access Neighborhoods: Juan Tabo Hills SE

Limited-access communities are larger developments with minimal ways to enter & exit. They can be hidden behind an unassuming stoplight that you drive right past. Below are two limited-access communities that if you miss the turn, you miss some incredible views, newer homes of all sizes, parks, trails & greenspaces, & some unique places to live.

Above is an aerial of the Juan Tabo Hills community, a limited-access neighborhood built starting 10 years ago & still building residential homes & some apartments. If you miss the light around the winding turn at Juan Tabo & Southern Blvd, you miss the neighborhood. Juan Tabo Hills is adjacent to Kirkland Air Force Base on the south & west sides--which allows for some amazing views across the mesa to the southern Cibola Forest mountainscapes--& is bounded by the Four Hills community to the east, although you can't get there from there...

Above is a proposed new shortcut across the top of Kirtland Air Force Base that would connect Gibson Blvd--including a flyway over the top of Wyoming Blvd--to Eubank Blvd, joining two parts of the SE Heights. You can see on the map below how close the Gibson Bypass would bring you to the limited-access Juan Tabo Hills community.
