MetroABQ Public Art: Near North Valley Roundabout
There is a very interesting on-the-way, quick-stop public art piece that sits in the middle of a roundabout on the edge of the North Valley, that is worth checking out. Indian School & Menaul Blvds are city-wide arterials that start at Tramway & parallel each other for over 10 miles before coming together at this public artwork roundabout east of Rio Grande Blvd.
From the City of ABQ Public Art website: The project, developed by The City of Albuquerques Public Art Program, was funded through the One Percent For Art ordinance. Located in the roundabout at Indian School & the Menaul Extension, behind the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, the work, entitled Monument, by Ed Haddaway, is a medley of parts that resemble an imaginary machine.
