The Mauger Mansion Inn Downtown MetroABQ

I've always appreciated the Mauger Mansion in Downtown's Fourth Ward Historic District. The three-story ~3800sqft home, built in 1897 for a small family from the east, is currently an Inn/Airbnb.

The Mauger Mansion is a significant MetroABQ property: a beautifully restored 123 year old historic Queen Anne Victorian Mansion, with period architecture including classic turn-of-the-century sleeping porches, stunning wraparound front Porch, private Balcony, decorative gables & brickwork, half-timbered Pilasters, a wonderful entry banister & more. I was fortunate to successfully list it for sale last year.

Below, the Mauger Mansion as seen in 1969 on a 35mm slide from the Walter McDonald photo installation, sports a screen-enclosed front porch & young front yard vegetation. Below that is a 2018 image from the listing, with the porch opened & with mature landscaping.

Below is a tricky image of the Mauger Mansion: it appears to be taken in the 1930's, with two classic Ford Model T's casually parked in front...In reality, I was told that in the 1980's, after a strenuous renovation, the owners at the time staged the scene with the older cars to give the impression of the photo's antiquity--the modern swamp cooler high up on the roof is one give-away...
