The MetroABQ's Tulipani: A Tiny (Uniquely Fresh & Handmade) Pasta Shop

I stop by Tulipani every Saturday, as I shop for the week at the Downtown Grower's Market at Robinson Park. Besides the local just-picked fruits & vegetables there every week from April until November(?), the market also has other essentials: honey, a breakfast burrito for breakfast, desserts for later, real baked pretzels & other breads, meats, cheeses, coffee, pizzas, more sweets, & more...all while watching a yoga class & a mariachi band. The slice of humanity at the MetroABQ's largest weekly market is interesting & invigorating.

And I never forget to purchase the home-made pasta from Tulipani. Always fresh--Alanna strongly suggests keeping it frozen until placed in boiling water, then only for maybe three minutes--there is ice to wrap it in for the trip home. The green chili ravioli is the bomb!

The (very cool) video on her site shows how everything is made...see it & then go to Tulipani, either at the market or the pasta shop north of Downtown...
